Terms of Service

1. Acceptance

By creating an account or using the NaijaMarket price-reporting app ("the App"), you agree to these Terms. You must scroll through and accept them to use the App. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old. By accepting, you confirm you are 18 or older.

3. One account per reporter

Only one reporter account may be created per person.

4. Accurate identity

The name you register must match the name on your bank account. Using a fake name or false information leads to automatic account suspension.

5. Information we collect

To operate the reporting and payment service we collect: (1) your full name; (2) phone number; (3) date of birth (to confirm you are 18+); (4) residential address; (5) state and assigned market; (6) BVN — for identity verification only; it is hashed and never stored in raw form; (7) bank account number and bank name (for payouts and name-match verification); (8) GPS location at submission (to verify market presence and detect spoofing); (9) the prices you submit and their timestamps; (10) a government-issued ID may be requested during KYC; (11) device information and push-notification token; (12) your IP address; (13) your phone type (device model and operating system); (14) a phone/device ID.

6. Consent to processing

You agree that your data is processed for verification, payments, fraud prevention, market-proximity checks, and service operation, in line with the Nigeria Data Protection Act (NDPA).

7. No third-party transfer

We do not transfer your data to any third party.

8. Reporting integrity

Submitting fake or false price reports leads to automatic account suspension.

9. Location integrity

Your GPS location is used to verify you are at the market. GPS spoofing leads to automatic account suspension.

10. Fraud

Any fraudulent activity leads to account suspension and reporting to the relevant authorities.

11. Duplicate accounts

Only one account is allowed. If two different phone numbers are used to create two different reporter accounts and the verification process detects this, both accounts will be suspended without payment, and we will not be liable for any resulting lawsuit or claim.

12. Misuse

Any misuse of the App leads to automatic account suspension.

13. KYC

During verification, a government-issued ID may be requested. Providing false verification information leads to suspension.

14. Payments & forfeiture

Earnings are paid to your verified bank account. Accounts suspended for the violations above forfeit unpaid earnings arising from those violations.

15. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. Continued use after an update requires re-acceptance of the current version.

16. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
